Windmill Cruise Amsterdam – Away from the crowds – Including Picnic – No tourist trap!
This is a private boat tour!
Cruises are from April 1st till October 31st (but bookable all year long). The cruise takes 2 1/2 hours.
Departure is a 5 minutes walk from trainstation Weesp. Weesp is about 15 minutes by train from Amsterdam Central Station.

“Driemond”. Hamlet on the Amsterdam border
Driemond litteraly means : Three Mouth. Where three river mouths come together.
That’s where the name comes from. The three rivers are: Het Gein, Smal(l) Weesp and De Gaasp.
Shown on the pic is River “het gein”. That’s where we start the windmill cruise.
We will see two windmills, stunning dairy farms, barns, lambs, sheep, cows, horses and much more.

Named after our former queen who ruled the country from 1898-1948.
Weesp “De Kom”
The City “Weesp”: The locals call it “little Amsterdam”.
The population is about 20.000 people. Quaint village with cityrights since 1355.
Weesp has a protected historical center with canals and many buildings dating
from the seventeenth and eighteenth century.
Windmills Weesp
On Saturday’s we make a short stop to see one of the the thatched roof
windmills from the inside (free entrance). In this windmill they make flour from wheat.
Weesp has three full-size historical windmills.
So in total we see 5 windmills during this private boat tour.
Weesp “River De Vecht”
Weesp is famous for Watersport recreation.
So meet The Dutch having fun in their pleasure yachts.
